Product review and sample methodology

The standard that must be met before an individual product, retailer link, sample or commercial comparison can appear.

Status and scope

The site currently publishes category-level education, not individual product reviews. No product score, best-buy ranking or retailer endorsement is active.

This methodology defines the minimum evidence and disclosure required before that status can change. A review covers only the named product version, supplied information, test scope and review date.

Selection before commission

A review begins with a documented reader need and objective eligibility criteria: intended use, materials, dimensions, controls, accessibility, care, instructions, traceability, warranty, returns and relevant product-safety information.

Commission rate, discount, advertising spend, gifts or retailer preference cannot create eligibility or change the test criteria.

Samples and testing

A supplied or loaned sample must be recorded with its provider, date, ownership or return terms and whether the sample differs from ordinary retail stock. Receipt never guarantees publication or favourable treatment.

Testing will stay within a documented, non-graphic scope. The site will not claim laboratory, electrical, clinical, medical-device, durability or accessibility certification unless an appropriately qualified independent process actually supports that claim.

Claims and product data

Materials, compatibility, dimensions, water resistance, warnings, conformity, care and performance claims must be attributable to current manufacturer documentation or appropriate independent evidence. Missing or ambiguous information is reported as a limitation rather than filled by assumption.

A retailer or manufacturer is offered a factual-correction route, but does not receive approval over conclusions, comparisons, safety wording or disclosure.

Scoring and comparisons

If scoring is introduced, the criteria, weighting and meaning of each score will be published before the result. Products are only compared where the intended need and evidence are sufficiently similar.

No product will be described as universally safe, accessible, body-safe, medical-grade or suitable for everyone. Price and availability are dated observations, not permanent facts.

Disclosure, links and privacy

Gifted, loaned, sponsored and affiliate relationships are labelled prominently before any commercial click. Qualifying links use appropriate sponsored attributes and remain separate from evidence and safety content.

A review remains readable without opening a retailer link or activating non-essential tracking. Any required consent choice is presented before storage or access on the reader's device.

Updates, faults and removal

Published destinations, availability, recalls, material changes and substantiated reader reports are reviewed on a recorded schedule. A materially changed product may require a new review rather than inheriting an older conclusion.

Unsafe, misleading, unavailable or broken destinations can be removed immediately. Material corrections are documented under the corrections policy.
