Visitor planning for adults 18+

Before a UK day trip or first event

Plan the practical details before you leave home.

This is a visitor-planning checklist, not a tourism-board endorsement or an event directory. The site does not yet publish venue recommendations because dates, access, policies and responsibility need a reliable verification process.

Six things to verify

Use the organiser and venue as the controlling sources. Save current contact details and any access agreement you need.

Event identity

Confirm the organiser, date, age policy, venue and official contact from a current primary source.

Access

Ask about step-free routes, seating, toilets, lighting, sound, queues, rest space, assistance and communication needs.

Rules and privacy

Read dress, conduct, photography, recording, phone, bag and confidentiality rules before travelling.

Transport and accommodation

Plan the last train, parking, taxi availability, check-in times and a route that does not depend on staying at the event.

Arrival and exit

Know where reception, staff, exits and a quieter place are. Keep your own money, phone, medication and journey home available.

Changes and cancellation

Recheck the organiser and venue on the day. Listings, access details and schedules can change.

Future listing standard

What an event or venue must show before we list it.

Identity

Named responsibility

A current organiser or business identity, official destination, contact route and date checked.

Access

Useful access detail

Specific facilities and limitations, not a vague “accessible” badge or an assumption based on the building.

Privacy

Clear conduct rules

Age scope, photography, recording, confidentiality, staff roles, reporting and removal processes.

Maintenance

Dated rechecking

A visible last-checked date, rapid correction route and removal when details cannot be confirmed.
